I Work In The Business Office Of A Doctors Office, I Do The Medical Billing. There Were 3 Of Us Working Here And Recently 1 Quit. That Leaves Only 2 Of Us. We Had A Meeting With The Doctor And He Informed Us He Was Not Going To Fill The Position. We Said Ok But There Might Be Times We Have To Work On Saturdays To Fullfill All The Work Load . The Doctor Was Okay With That. Well Since Then When I Work On Saturdays I Inform My Supervisor And She Approves. When Payroll Comes The Doctor Calls And Is Very Upset. There Is Another Lady In The Department Who Also Works The Weekend. She Works Saturday And Sunday Every Weekend. She Is Never Told Anything About It. And When I Bring It Up To The Doctor He Says That She Has Alot Of Work.i Explain That My Workload Is The Same As Hers. I Feel It Is Just Because She Has Been Working For Him For 24years And Me For Only 8 Years. Is That Fair And Is There A Discrimination Law Somewhere About This.please Help Me.

Sorry, but that isn't illegal. If he only wants one person working on the weekends then he is entitled to only allow one person to do so. Basing it on seniority is perfectly legal.

Even Though We Dont Do The Same Work, She Is A Transcriptionist And I Am A Biller. Also He Allows The Men To Carry Over Vacation And Sick Days But Not A Certain Woman Who Ask To.

Please do not capitalize every word. It makes your post very hard to read.

If he wants to allow the woman who has more seniority to get the overtime, that's legal. Doesn't make any difference that you have different jobs.

As for the other part of your question, is leave carry over really based on being male or female, or the positions these people hold? Or seniority? Or is it just one person who happens to be female who is not permitted to carry over leave?
