Washington state do back ground checks for new real estate sales people? Is it a state search? How can you check out an agent?

Are you asking if the state will do such checks, or if it is legal to run such checks, or if it is mandatory to run such checks, or what?

I guess what I'm asking is if what kind of background checks does the state of Washington do on potential agents?

We would have no way of knowing. None of works for the state of Washington. Sorry.

I'm a past realtor and from my experience the state makes a potential realtor state that he's/she's not a felon,etc but the state doesn't do a background check. Its a self-reporting type of thing so its very hard to check out your realtor. My best advice is if you feel the need to check out your realtor, find a different realtor.
