I NEED TO KNOW IF I HAVE A CASE,
I'VE WORKED IN A COMPANY FOR 4 YEARS AND I'VE ONLY GOTTEN ONLY ABOUT 50 CENTS AN HOUR RAISE. I'VE SEEN NEW PEOPLE COME AND GO FROM THE COMPANY AND IN JUST A COUPLE OF MONTHS THEY GET UP TO 2 OR MORE DOLLARS AN HOUR RAISE
IS THERE SOMETHING I CAN DO ?
THE SUPERVISOR DOES NOT LIKE ME AND KEEPS TELLING ME THAT THERE'S NO MONEY FOR A RAISE.
BUT WHAT ABOUT EVERYONE ELSE WHO DID GET ONE?
I FEEL DISCRIMINATED BECAUSE THERE'S NO EXCUSE I CAN DO A LOT OR MORE JOBS AND WORK DIFFERENT TYPES OF MACHINES I'M MORE EXPERIENCED THAN OTHERS WHO BARELY GOT THERE AND GET WHAT I THINK I RIGHTFULLY DESERVE!

Please do not post in all caps; it makes your post very hard to read and is considered shouting on the Internet.

The law does not require that you ever be given a raise unless you are working at exactly minimum wage, and minimum wage is raised by the appropriate legislative body.

It is legal for your employer to refuse to give you a raise because she does not like you. Unfair, possibly, but legal.

Unless you have a valid reason to believe that you are not being given a raise because of your race, religion or other protected characteristic, all you can do is look for other employment where you will be paid what you deserve.

Samuel: why would you want to work somewhere that you are not liked and can't seem to make the amount of money you want or need to make? I think it's time you searched elsewhere.
Like cbg said, they don't have to pay you any more money as long as you're there (unless you fall under the circumstances described). So, good luck and happy hunting!
