I purchased a house 3 years ago and when we did the survey to purchase, we discovered that a fence that had been placed at the top of a bank on the South side of the property was 12 feet inside of the property boundary. Our neighbor, in an effort to fence in their back yard connected a section of fence from the corner of our fence to the back of their house. This connection, in effect, fenced us off of our property. We let the neighbors know when we bought the house that the fence was well within the property boundary. We have now taken the fence down and our neighbors are getting ready to spend money to clear the bank (which is our property). WHAT SHOULD I DO? DO THEY HAVE A OWNERSHIP CLAIM TO THE PROPERTY?
