Legally an adult

Please help.
I am a twenty year old female drawing social security in Tennessee and have been living with my parents here in TN who have been in charge of collecting my checks. They give me $100 per month.
It has been this way since I was 17. (The $100 that is)
I do volunteer work with deaf children and am well versed in sign language. I have met, and fallen in love with a 19 year old man who has a full-time job as a nurses aid and I moved in with him. We are engaged to be married.
Here's my problem:
My parents only care to receive my checks which is why they refuse to give me my Birth Certificate or SS#/Card or any personal documentation so that I can change my residence to have my checks mailed to my new place of residence and move on with my life.
I do not have any type of identification or legal document saying I am who I am and I don't even know how much my SSI checks are for.
They say they'll continue to give me $100 per month, but I cannot help contribute to my home with that amount and I don't believe I will be able to get married since I don't have a birth cert, and ID or a SS card.
I was born in Chicago, IL, but live in Tennessee.
Being and adult, what can I do to get my life straightened out without my parents having control of my checks and legal docs.
Thanks for any help.
