I was fired from a 100k job in Texas. I was 3 months into to it, and I thought I was doing well. They moved me to a new state, and were covering my mortgage payment in my old home. I also had a large bonus payment coming to me that they claimed they no longer had to pay specifically because the employee handbook states you must be employed during and prior to the payment of the bonus. They fired one day before. They promised to cover 3 mortgage payments, but only covered 2. I'm most certainly going to lose my house to foreclosure, or at min destroy my credit. I specifically inquired three weeks ago about some one I thought may be coming in to take my position that had more experience, and I was promised this company always gives corrective action, 30 day plans, etc. That same guy let me go with no warning. My stores were up in sales, and I was working my but off....What can I do? This was not only not fair, it was life changing...for me and my family...

I'm sorry for the tragedy that has occurred in your life and wish youdidn't have to undergo such trauma. But other than offer condolences and pray that your fortunes reverse course, I'm not sure what other consolation I can offer. Nothing in what you've written suggests any employment laws have been broken.

If you had certain committments made to you in writing, and those committments have not been honored, it is possible you might have some contract law grounds. If so, your needs might best be served by consulting a local attorney who has a strong background in contract law and showing him/her the documents.

I hope things get better for you and wish my feedback could be more encouraging.
