He is in prison. I do not allow him to call us collect because he has ran my bill up three times where he refused to pay, and my phone got disconnected. He did pay AFTER the fact, but I still told him no more collect calls. He says I''m being mean and I'm only hurting our daughter. He is perfectly capable of paying (that's another story). So I told him he could write her letters and I will read them to her. She's 5.
Well, since he was so mad about not being able to call, he chose not to write at all. The last letter he sent was back in December of 2005. Well, she got a letter from him this weekend. I was at work, so I allowed my mom to read it to her. I always read it first before I read to her, because he's so stupid there is no telling what he'd say. Lo and behold, I call my mom a little later and she said she hasn't read the letter to my daughter yet because she wanted me to read it first.
In it, he makes references about kissing boys with the lights out, and things of that nature. I was SO FURIOUS! Well now I don't want him writing to her at all. Is there anything I can do legally? Is it possible for me to set visitations now before he gets out of jail? He can afford the most expensive lawyers, I can't.
PS He lives (and is in prison) in Missouri, I'm in Georgia.
