It's been about 2 months since I was last on this site. At that point I was getting many posts "glorifying" my ex and his needed relationship with my son. I'm choosing to forgive and forget all that since I realize it was all said as a result of lack of experience on everyone's parts in knowing my ex-husband. I however, have 20yrs. experience with him so you'll just have to trust my word I guess. Since I last posted about him claiming disability, he has now been arrested last week for "simple assault" and domestic abuse of his current wife. My son was present at his home at the time for his visitation. His hearing is scheduled for Wed. of this week, but since then his wife has already dropped the charges. The police report was clear though in the sense that not only did he ADMIT to the crime that he committed, but the police witnessed the marks on her. I'm hoping that the prosecutors office will still elect to follow up on it. Now, from MY standpoint, I called my attorney and she's filing for an "emergency custody modification" also this coming week before the next visitation is scheduled.

What I wanted to know is if there is anyone who's been through the same thing (I'm sure there is) and possibly shed some light on what can be done or if there's something I might be missing as far as my son's and my options and also what I might be able to expect out of all my ex's new garbage. I'm tired of him F--- up and me having to run damage control for my son. When is someone going to stop him so I don't have to keep getting drawn in to his screw ups. If it wasn't for my son being so directly affected by all this, I wouldn't have to play babysitter to my ex. or continually run interference, but unfortuneatly that's not the case.

Funny thought,,,,,,,,,, it must be tough to be claming you're physically "disabled" and can't work or pay child support, but you're certainly physically capable of committing "assault".
