My understanding of the qualifications for "Exempt" status include making a minimum salary amount. I would like to know what that amount would be.
Also, in a previous company where I was salaried, I was told I could not schedule any salary associate more than 6 consecutive days as a new Federal Regulation requires all salaried associates be provided a "Day of Rest" in any seven day period. Therefore I could only schedule associates 6 days, then a day off, regardless of the company's need, deadlines, etc.
Is this information correct?

The minimum salary for an exempt employee is $455 per week. If you make less than that, you are not exempt by definition.

There is no Federal or Florida regulation requiring a day of rest for either exempt or non-exempt employees.
