Hi,
I was injured when I tripped over a lose threshold plate and fell and hurt my right knee in January 2006. I have been on wc since. Had to have arthroscopic surgery in April where the dr performed a roto-rooter and clean up. Final diagnosis is arthritis, which I have had NO history of before. No problems with payments from WC co. The left knee is causing problems as well and the diagnosis was arthritis as well, possibly accelerated due to long period of being on crutches from the right leg,(12 weeks). May have to have surgery on it as physical therapy is not improving either knee. To top it all off my employer fired me the middle of July stating they can no longer hold my position open for me. (Not surprised after nearly 7 months off) If I get better and can return to work or light duty what does the WC co do when I have no job to return to? Are they required to pay if I can not find another job or find one that pays the same?
Thanks for any hepl.
