Is it legal to tell employees when they can take there vacation time? At my company we have always been able to take a day here and there, but now they are telling us that we must take vacation in one week incerments. Well those of us whom have only two weeks/10 of vacation feel that is not right, and there is nothing about this in the empoyee hand book.

There are no laws requiring employers to provide any vacation days, so vacation days granted and the use of those days in entirely at the discretion of the employer.
It is entirely legal for an employer to tell an employee when they can or cannot take vacation. Do you think a tax accountant is allowed to take vacation the second week of April? How may salesclerks do you think are on vacation during the Christmas rush?
