Well, one thing that should ease your mind is that he can not terminate his rights without your consent. You need to file for custody in court. Until there is an order, you are under NO obligation to allow visitation. If he refuses to meet you for visitation that is offered, that is his problem. If the wife is disruptive, you can ask the court that all communication about your child only be between you and your ex.

I'm not 100% sure but I do know that in most states they cannot relenquish financial responsibility unless there is another person who will adopt. that is what I have been told.
I don't know much about these things but there are probably people that know more on this website.

Ok I asked y daughter's (15 months old) father to give me sole custody, He said that he would then he changed it to he wants to sign his rights over so he does not have to pay child support anymore, I told him that is not what I wanted I want him to be in her life but I want papers saying when he has her, I CAN come get her without him with holding her from me. He says he would never do that but I need to make sure, he also told me he would never lie to me, and well guess what that was a lie. they whole time I was with him he was married and his wife had their daughter 15 days after I had our daughter. HE is just now trying to be in her life, but his wife wants me to play by her rules, this is where I have problems. I am not allowed to talk to him, unless she is around, when he has my daughter I can not pick her up unless his wife is home, and here is the whopper, if he has a question it has to go through her first, if she says no it is no, he cant see his daughter unless it is pre-approved by his wife. This was ok at first, but then they had my daughter one day instead of her going to daycare. and she had a cough, I gave then medicine to give her. I dropped her off at 915 told them she ate and had her meds at 830.. I picked her up after work at 510. I asked him * seeing how his wife was sleeping* when was the last time she got her medicine. He said we did not give her anything at all.. then he told me she ate lunch at 330.. THAT IS NOT GOOD< she should not have had to wait to eat lunch 7 hours, they knew she ate breakfast at 830. well I took her home and gave her her medicine, LUCKLY I only had half a dose. because at 130 AM his wife sent me a message saying oh yeah we forgot to tell you, I gave her a full does of benedryl and a full dose of tylenol cold and cough at 430.. I was PISSED, if I had taken my daughter home and gave her a full dose of her meds, I could have over dosed her. and yet neither one of them see anything wrong with this situation. I told them she was not going to be left alone with them again untill we all talked, they refuse his wife said no, so here I am .

What can I do?? if he sign his rights away *which I dont want* he no longer supports his daughter, if he gives me sole custody then I dont have to play by his wfies rules, and I KNOW my daughter will be safe..

is there anything is Florida that I can do, I am scared to leave her with her father.. and No there is not court order for visitation. I was just trying to make things easy and go smoothly for my daughters sake.

Am I a bad mom for not leaving her alone with him, because now he wont even meet us at the park to see her like he was doing.. am I wrong???
You need to file to establish custody ASAP. In Fl. it is possible for a NCP to voluntarily relinquish thier rights, however they will still have to pay CS. Go to www.flcourts.org for the forms and more info.
