I read a post regarding an employee getting hurt at an outing, but how does it work if it involves 2 employees? My husband hit another employee with a golf ball at an employee golf outing. Does that fall under his employer or his homeowners insurance?

It varies by state and I don't know what the laws in Minnesota say. Did you ask your workers comp carrier?

We kind of wanted to know what the law says before we ask. My husband has a call into our home insurance provider and is waiting for a response. We both work for the same company and don't want to sound "cheap".

The safest thing to do is to report it to the workers comp carrier and, if it's not coverable, let THEM deny it.

Agree that it should be filed with WC.

Thanks! That's what I figured.
