please help me someone. my husband is on workers comp. the insurance company starting screwing around with us. they havent sent my husbands checks in three weeks now. we have an attorney who contacted them, they said they would send it. never did. lawyer called the following week, same thing now this is the third week. i just returned to work from a lay off so my unemployment will stop this coming week. we have tons of bills no food, and im getting desperate. is there any way to force them to send his checks. either through dept of labor, or something. attny says he will send a letter stating they have 7 days to send a check before going to court. i dont think i can wait. PLEASE HELP ANY INFO WOULD BE GREAT.

Same things happened to me . My attorney just went ahead a filed, right before the hearing date they back paid everything.

Not sure about your state but in my state ( CA) we can file for state disability insurance and they will place a lien on the claim.

You should talk to your attorney. They can file for a hearing, or at least deal with the adjuster. Sometimes checks legitimately get lost or delayed somehow. I would ask to have it FedExed to you overnight.
