I would like some clarification. The store i am currently working at is closing on July 23rd. Management removed the OSHA posters receintly. Shouldn't these posters remain up until the date of closure?

Yes, but I seriously doubt OSHA is going to crusify a closing business for taking them down a week early.

let me make it more clear. the business is not closing, just certain locations. out of 58 stores only 16 of the stores are closing. i do know this, when it happens at one location it has a ripple effect on the others.

As the lack of a poster would be a de minimus violation, the employer would be given the opportunity to correct the situation before being fined. As they are closing that location in a week, it would be a moot point. (1903.14)

If you are concerned, why not just ask your employer to rehang the poster for the next week? Or ask a manager to print a free copy from the OSHA website and stick it on the wall.
