Ok, so i just found out i was preg this morning. I am not sure how far along i am already and my insurance doesn't kick in for another 2 mos. i need to know if preg is pre-existing according to fl state law???? Does each insurance carrier hold their own rules and regs. someone please help. i'm desperate!!!!

If you are talking about group health insurance provided by your employer, then under Federal law, to which all 50 states are subject, pregnancy cannot be considered a pre-existing condition.

You would not be excluded from your employer's policy. In the meantime, you may want to look into what may be available through social services to cover you for the next two months. Regardless of how far along you are, you don't want to wait two months to seek pre-natal care.
