I am a Supervisor for a Route Sales company. The Route Salesman that work under me (they are union) get paid a base pay + commission for a 5 day work week. If for any reason they have to come in and do any kind of work on thier day off they get an additional $85 for that day.

The company has now switched my pay (I am not union) from a straight salary to the same base pay + the average commission earned by my salesmen + $80 extra per week for being a Supervisor for a 5 day work week. They will not however pay me if I have to work on my days off. They say thats just part of being a Supervisor. I have already been told that I will have to work one of my days off this week.

Is it legal to make people work without paying them in this situation?
