My Grandparents (deceased) left property and their family home to their heirs. Four children are still living. The oldest daughter (recently died) had the family home moved from the heir property to her own private property (no papers signed) and lived and paid taxes there for about 8 years. Whenever any of the heirs visited NC they stayed in the home. She left her property to one of the brothers and his wife (who no longer wants anyone to stay at the family home). Do they legally own the family home since it was moved from heir properety? Do the heirs have any rights to the home?
