I have worked for the company for 6 years.Been interviewed for manager job, and a corporate job. Same answer after the interview, you are not qualified for you do not hunt or fish. I was asked to take over a department and turn it around. This was not my department and new to me. But I took it on and turned the department around. My question is is this fair to me. I am more qualfied to do the jobs. I have wondered to sue for this. What should i do?

Well, I have to admit, I don't understand what hunting or fishing has to do with it, and it was stupid of them to tell you that. But, as strange as it may sound to you, that's not illegal. Illegal discrimination exists when you are adversely treated solely because of your membership in a protected class under the law, such as race, age, gender, religion, national origin, etc. Legally, if you didn't get the promotion because you wore yellow socks, that wouldn't be a violation either. I really don't know what kind of law you'd sue under, because there was no law violated. I'm sorry, but I don't see a case here.
