Please help...

I live in TX and my 14yr daughter lives with her mother in AR. My daughter has come to stay the summer with me and has decided she wants to stay for this school year to see if she likes it. If she does she will stay until she graduates, if not then she would go back to AR. I have discussed it with her mother and we are all in agreement that she must stay for the entire school year and if she likes it she can stay until she graduates, if not she would go back to AR with her mother.

I am currently paying child support & back child support for my daughter, comes right out of my check. The question is how can I get the child support suspend for this trial year? There is a time issue here as well, school starts in mid-August so I need to get this done ASAP. Her mother wants me to keep paying the child support and she will send it back to me every month (yeah right! not going to happen). The child support order was done in AR. And if my daughter decides to stay how do I have the order terminated?

If anyone has any knowledge on this please let me know...

If she plans and does stay with you and you owe back child support or arrears and current support I would keep up with the amount paid from the time your daughters starts living with you ect...Til whenever....Then, since you owe for back support make sure that number you start with is the arrear number ONLY. Then minus the amount you paid during this time frame.....
All the while trying to get an order from the court to stop payments....Since you owe back arrears you can not just wipe the numbers away if your daughter moves in. They are there through social sercurity times.

This thread is over a year old, so I'm sure that the OP figured out what to do a long time ago.
