Do I have a choice? My employer wants to take me from my position and place me somewhere else. I qualify for both jobs but I want to stay at the one I'm at. Please help, have to make a decision.

Your employer has every legal right to transfer you to another position.

Okay explain to me how they have the right to do that? If a person does not want a position why should they be forced to do that?

Because they own the business. Unless this is a government agency, they can redirect their work force however they want.

And no, they don't even have to ask you first.

They should talk to you in an effort to promote employee relations, but they don't have to.

If you don't like the position they put you in, your option is to find work elsewhere.

Doesn't make any difference who owns the company. Your manager has obviously been given that authority. That's what managers do.

They have the right to force you to change jobs because there is no law that says they can't.
