Hello. With all the posts in this forum, I think I've found my answer, but would like to be sure...
In CA, the 7th consecutive day law applies only for those 7 days within one work-week? What if I was scheduled my two days off at the begining of one work week, and then, my next two scheduled days off at the end of the second work-week, thus working ten days straight, but in two different work weeks (same pay period)? If this is the case, I've just been "worked hard," but haven't earned any OT per the "7 days."(?) The laws are supposed to protect employees, aren't they (granted, employers too)? I don't understand the reasoning of limiting the "7 consecutive days" to one work-week, as this creates a nice little loop-hole in which employees can be exploited over the course of two work weeks.
