I have a questions that I am literally dying to find an answer to.
Is it legal to force employees to work mandatory overtime for 11 months straight and is there anything to do besides choosing another job to get off mandatory overtime.

Your answers will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Being slaved

Yes, it is legal, and no, you have no other recourse but to find another job where the hours are more to your liking. Slaves couldn't do that.

Agreed. There are a few minor exceptions. Sometimes workers under 18 years old. Certain professions like airline pilots. Union contracts. But in generally, it might be physically impossible to work an employee 24/7/365, but it is generally not illegal.

Many actions employers take are illegal, immoral, and/or stupid, but not necessarily (or probably) illegal. Employers more or less have a right to be bad employers unless they break actual laws.
