:I sustained an injury to my wrist while working. I didn't receive immediate medical attention but found it necessary to go to a doctor due to incredible pain and numbness. After being sent to a specialist I was told not to use the arm at all. I filed a workers compensation claim and unfortunately ran into problems with the insurance company. I found it necessary to retain an attorney to help. Many months and doctors later, I will probably need surgery to correct the situation. I returned back to work on light duty. For a while everything was going fine, all of a sudden in seems that the company is having a problem with my job performance. This suprises me since I have always did an above average job, and have the history of raises and promotions to prove it. I feel that I am being harrassed due to my injury. Help is there anything I can do?

Often times this sort of treatment happens prior to firing an employee. In order to terminate you, the employer has to have reasons. Here is a good link to figure our why they can terminate you.

So if you're saying you have proof of permotions and such they can not fire you or they would get sued.

Therefore if they can not fire you, but are treating you this way then you could have a discrimination case.

Either way I'd talk to a lawyer.
