my husband works for a local waste company in Texas. and we along with more drivers have a few questions. like the drivers make 19.00 hrs a day, these drivers go to work at 4am and do not get off til most times around 10:30 pm. is this legal? please contact me asap. thank you. MRS. KIM

As of January of this year, the maximium shift for a driver is 14 hours, with 11 of them being driving hours with a 70 hour total for 8 days. They keep log books and will be able to recored this.

I couldn't find anything in Texas regulations that covers trucking. However, it is best for you to contact the state.
