We work at a small privately owned surgery center. We were all hired for and signed a contract to work 40 hrs. per week. However, we have not been as busy as was first anticipated. Our hours have been cut back to 32 per week. We get paid hourly and have been forced to cut back. Anything we can do?

You would need to take your contract to a local attorney for review to determine whether it is, in fact, an enforceable employment contract and whether the employer has breached its terms. Outside of a contract, it is not illegal to reduce hours when work is slow.
