Is there a law comparable to section 240 of the NY Labor Law in Connecticut? or does general negligence just apply?

Give me a clue. I'm not familiar with "section 240 of the NY Code" by that name. What does it address?

Apparently, Section 240 deals with scaffolding and ladders at constuction-type work sites. It attaches absolute liability to property owners and general contractors when a construction worker falls from a height. Insurers and the construction industry have tried to get it over-turned because it's been costly for them.
