Hello, I just moved to CA from NE about a month ago and I am 17. I have residency in both states because I am a military dependant. The law in NE states that I'm an adult at 19 years of age and my parents there have custody of me. My question is at 18 can I leave CA without my parents permission to live with some friends in TX without my parents coming back and saying that I'm a runaway?

If you live in CA, and your physical address is in CA, then you are a legal adult. Good Luck...
