Example: Employee uses "vacation pay" (8 hours) for Monday. Works Tuesday 10 hours, Wed. 8 hours, Thurs. 10 hours, Friday 10 hours and Sat 5 hours. Exactly how many hours of OT should this person get paid? Thanks!

9 hours of OT

2 for Tuesday, 2 for Thursday, 2 for Friday and 3 for Saturday because the employee was at 38 worked hours as of Saturday morning so their first two hours were not over 8 for the day or 40 for the week but after 2 hours on Saturday they were eligible for the other 3 hours to be OT.

6 - the daily overtime only. You get the greater of daily or weekly, not both (hours over eight in a day don't count towards the regular hours worked in a week for the purpose of calculating weekly overtime).

I agree with Megan. ;) The employee worked only 43 hours. However, since the daily overtime required is 6 hours, the legal requirement has been met.
