i was just wondering if there was a way i can get information on mandatory overtime. I've been looking but of course i haven't found anything on it. I was really just wondering if there was any time length i am required to work it. We been on maditory overtime for 7 months. We need to work 8 hour shifts for 19 days before we can get 2 days off.

The reason you can't find anything is because there is nothing to find. There is no law in your state (or hardly any other state) that regulates mandatory overtime or the number of hours you can work in a day or a week, with very limited exceptions for positions such as airline pilot, interstate truck drivers, e tc.

Maybe that's because people keep asking the same questions, and the law (or lack thereof) doesn't change much.

Well thanks for the response.
And at least this time the term suck it up wasn't being advised, like in a older post of pattys.

It's not patties fault she can't change your state laws for you. She even doesn't like them, but she can't do anything else but state the truth. Sorry you have to work so long to get 2 days off!! :(
