How long does an employer have to take disciplinary action after the alleged infraction?

I was given a written warning today for supposedly not clocking out one day two weeks ago. I have been to work every day since then and received pay for that week one week ago. Additionally the proof that was given to me had a time that I punched in and out on it.

This also follows a period of time (approx six months) when I was told not to clock in and out for lunch by my department manager because my job does not allow for me to take 30 consecutive minutes. I was just supposed to take them when I could. After not clocking in and out for lunch as I was told not to do, I was given a verbal warning.

Thank you

The law does not dictate how long an employer has to implement disciplinary action. That is entirely a matter of company policy.
