Hi. I've read pages and pages of people's posts, your answers, and have even gone to the State of NJ website links posted but still have a couple of quick questions please.

I work for a one-attorney law firm/office and I'm not worried in the least bit about my job security or anything like that. HOWEVER, I make approximately $750 gross and $590 net per week and calculating the info. on the State of NJ website that means I'll only get about $400 per week in disability...is this right or did I calculate something wrong??

Also are there any other programs that offer financial assistance in ADDITION to what I would receive from the State of NJ for the 6 week period of time I'm out of work on maternity leave? We're doing "ok" making ends meet now, but if I'm getting less money per week, then add the cost and expense of our new baby, I'm a little nervous that we won't have enough to pay our bills/mortgage/etc.

So your advice, suggestions and input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you. :)

That's okay, I deleted the duplicate. No problem - computers do that. :)

Unfortunately, I don't know of any additional programs for you unless your employer offers something or you have bought a private policy that will coordinate with the state. Frankly, in 45 out of 50 states you wouldn't have what you do have - only five states (including yours) offer this benefit. (Personally, I think that's a shame, but it's not up to me.)

I'll let someone more skilled in the NJ benefit than I, check your math. :)
