they are acceptable, and very common requests and outcomes, but no one can really say what the judge would order.

You have a normal and reasonable request, but I suggest that both of you and your attorneys try to iron this out before it gets to a judge because it is part of the overall property division process. The house and other assets and marital debts all come into play in arriving at the property settlement.
