Maybe you weren't communicating poorly, maybe I was just reading
poorly - I don't know. To me it read as if Jack was saying "the
problem is always this" and you were saying "no, the problem is always
that." I happen to think you are closer to the mark than Jack is, but
don't really think the problem is _always_ anything.
cases if a woman says it isn't one it isn't. There are millions of situations, different for different people. I was *trying* to say that for some this would be the case. Or at least, I have a population of 1 (me) for whom this situation has occured, and have heard other girlfriends in the same boat. I was trying to give a different perspective. I definitely did use language that meant I was stereotyping that all women feel a certain way. But I would think that it is worth pursuing the possibility anyway that another issue is at hand. You kno0w what I mean?

Sure. That's always worth pursuing. And probably often the case.
I am very casual in my usenet postings. I do a lot of writing for work. And I, frankly, get a little lazy on usenet. Sorry.

No apology necessary. Just hit one of my buttons.

What I mean was to respond to Jack's "the problem is always this" with in at
least a couple of cases the problem is something else, therefore your always
statement is wrong. I would agree with you that the problem is defintely not
ALWAYS something. I mean it is always something.. You know what I mean.
