To make a long story short, 4 years ago I took a plea agreement to disorderly conduct (for an argument) that I stipulated to include I can get a divorce to include the house and primary physical placement of the children and my x pay any and all fines. She has paid the fines (I have copies of the check) and moved out eventually leaving the state. (WI)

If she would try to contest physical placement because the State (WI) went after child support, would this change anything in my original agreement? If so what are my options? I would have never taken a plea agreement otherwise.

The Divorce case is a separate case in a separate court.

What does the mediator do? I am referring to: if a resolution is not reached what happens then?

If a resolution is not reached in mediation then you proceed to court to have the judge decide.

I'm a mediator in WI- what part of the state are you in, maybe I could refer you to someone good.
