We bought a home four years ago in Danielsville, near athens ga. We went through our realtor and she help us get a home inspector. We were not able to be at the inspection due to we were relocating and did not live close by. There was nothing on the disclosure about the bad hardboard siding on the house. The home was advertised as masonite, we voiced our concerns to the realtor who dealt with the home inspector and was assured that our siding was not part of the lawsuits. We are now relocating again and starting to fix things up and found out that we have bad OSB masonite Omni wood on the house. We have to tear this all out and install new siding on it before the relocation company will touch it. WE cannot find a copy of the home inspection and the inspection company claim they do not have a copy. The realtor is not calling us back. I have yet to prove, still working on it though, that the previous owner knew about the problem. We even had it FHA inspected and it was not caught. Are we SOL? Who is liable? IS this a waste of time to fight? All I have to prove the home inspection was the check I wrote to them and the realtor who was at the home when it was inspected. Any help please.
