Praying For A Family
January 30, 2005
By Mary Nam
SNOHOMISH COUNTY - Sunday service held special meaning for hundreds of couples
in Bothell who are all praying for a child.
Cedar Park Church held their annual "Presentation Sunday" service where the
power of prayer is used to help infertile couples.
Couples like Polly and Steve Gustafson have tried to have a baby for several
years.
"We came to Presentation Sunday last year and got pregnant two months later,"
said Polly. "Then, we lost the baby to a miscarriage." The Gustafsons remain
firm believers in the power of prayer and will keep trying to have a baby.
"There's something about coming and praying in faith and having others pray for
you that we have seen miracles," said Pastor Sue Timpe of Cedar Park. "In our
local church, I know of 285 babies that have been born out of result of prayers
from this room and that's just our church!"
The annual service offers hope and encouragement to couples who have been
trying to get pregnant for years.
The hundreds who attend believe faith is the answer. Whether by medical
intervention, adoption, or prayer, the couples who attended the service are
true believers that faith will fulfill their dreams of having a family.

A good friend will come and bail you out of jail . . . but, a true friend will
be sitting next to you saying, "Damn . . . that was fun!"
