I have a friend who works in a small nursing home in a small town. When a male nurse had been hired, he began making advance on many of the females. The girls complained amongst themselves and told him they didn't enjoy it. He would grab some of the girls as well. When the girls' husbands got word of what was going on, the husbands came down to the nursing home. The nursing home asked the male nurse to resign. After he had left, my friend had been feeling like she was being treated differently (she was the only one left of the girls who had been harassed, the rest had left). She finally gave up and quit herself. As soon as she left, they hired the male nurse back. Is there something she can do? Can she prove this? There were witnesses.

The nursing home may be guilty of violating federal discrimination laws. The question is the number of employees that they may have. You can learn more about discrimination at: www.eeoc.gov (http://www.eeoc.gov).
