Contestant adopts
defense of 'Daddy'

T.J. Myers, the woman who was seen whittling through a group of men to find her
real father on Fox's "Who's Your Daddy?" Monday night, said yesterday she had
no clue the show would cause such a fuss.
"You know, call me naive," she told Scott Shannon and Todd Pettengill on
WPLJ-FM, "but I really didn't realize it. Other than the adoption agencies,
they were a little upset about the whole thing, and I don't understand why,
because I wanted to meet my birth father."

On the show, Myers, who has appeared in soft-core films, guessed who of eight
men was her father. If she guessed correctly, she got $100,000. If she didn't,
the guy she picked got the $100,000.

Adoption agencies slammed the show as exploitative, saying it trivialized an
emotional process.

"It was just absolutely amazing and full of love," Myers told the morning radio
show. "I didn't understand why, when everybody wanted to meet each other, the
adoption agencies are upset."

She had no clue about the $100,000 when she signed on, she said. She and the
prospective dads learned of the cash just a day before production started.

"We were actually going to lose wages doing the show," she said.

"There's this amazing bond between a child and a father," she said, "and it was
there, and it was wonderful."

"Who's Your Daddy?" won't be the last time people see Myers, of course. In
March, she'll turn up on Court TV's reality game series "Impossible Heists." A
few years ago, she appeared in the reality show "Combat Missions" on USA.

"Who's Your Daddy?" "really was a wonderful thing," she told Shannon, "and I
know how many [people] already this has touched."

be sitting next to you saying, "Damn . . . that was fun!"
