I was likewise horrified by the rude comments you received You wouldthink alt, adoption to be caring, loving environment. I feel for you. LOL, you've GOT to be kidding! :)LOL! I'm not kidding. There's no excuse for the way that couple was treated. They just want a baby. A baby!

No problem, we understand they want a baby. Unfortunately, so do a bazillion
other couples. But geez... you make it sound so simple, like they're ordering
a pepperoni pizza or something.

Perhaps they should be a little more sensitive regarding how and where they
market themselves in search of a newborn. I don't think anyone found Lisa
Montgomery at fault for merely wanting a baby, it was her method of procurement
that troubled most folks.

If they had taken the time to lurk here a while, rather than broadcasting
their wishes to everyone within ethershot, they would have discovered that
there are many good people who post here who also wanted a baby.

Some posters even want their baby back. Imagine that.

Also, I really don't give a crap about their overwhelming desire for an
newborn infant to resolve their infertility issues. Searching through a
thousand profiles of older children waiting years for an adoptive family tends
to make one insensitive that way. Better to seek out a shrink for therapy.

It's been a while and I can't find their original post but I don't remember
reading it that way.

Lisa Montgomery? Is that the name of the poster? I think her method of
procurement might be lacking but she did sound desparate like she had tried
all avenues and failed - again it has been awhile since I read the post.

Yes. I agree.
