Give him a good long hug. Have a good cry together. What a blessing it is
to be able to say goodbye. Sadly, many folks don't get the chance.

Unfortunately, he'd been brain-dead since last night and was on a
respirator. I did say a few final words, for whatever they were worth, give
him a kiss on the forehead and bid him adieu. He died about an hour later
after they'd removed the respirator.

What a blessing it is to be able to say goodbye. Sadly, many folks don't get the chance.

True - I'm glad I was able to do so.

Thanks, Kathy. We're all doing okay. The biggest pain now is dealing with
all the relatives that are planning to descend upon us! Yikes! :)
