As long as the wishes of the birthmother to not be contacted are respected,or birthfather or adopted person or adoptive family. I would say your rightthat most people would respect that.
The birthparents have no special legal right to their "wishes" of no contact
simply by being birthparents. If contacted by the adult relinquished child,
they can say "go away" at any time, just like everyone else.
Once they relinquish their rights as parents, it's all over for them, legally.
If the child is not adopted, and languishes in foster care, that child will
still receive its original birth certificate upon majority. With the name of
the birthparent(s) intact.
Only after adoption were the records closed. It had nothing to do with what
the birthparents' wishes were.
