I injured my back on the job. The company's doctor placed me on restricted duty and I have been working a light-duty job in the office everyday without missing any time due to the injury. I normally work on jobs offsite and earn a lot of overtime. Does Maine's workers comp. allow me to recover the difference between what I am earning now at 40 hours and my "regular" earnings?

Also, I stayed home a couple of days because my back hurt even though the doctor didn't put me out or give me a note. Does my employer have to pay me for those days without a doctor's note?

If you are making significantly less you may be eligible for temp partial disability but generally speaking, if you are working 40 hours now, you aren't going to qualify. WC only pays a portion of your average weekly wage. If you are now making at or over that portion, you would not qualify.

No, the days you are off that are self reported as being related but there is no medical documentation for would not fall under WC. They would be subject to your employer's usual sick leave policy. If that means you must have a doctor's note, you are out of luck.
