Adoption Annex Offers Help for Adoptees, and Parents

start a family through adoption -- a new place to find out everything you want
to know, plus help for adopted children looking to trace their roots.

The new Adoption Annex opens this week in Roslyn Village. The founder is
attorney Kevin Cohen who was adopted himself, 36 years ago.

What this new annex will not do is serve as an adoption agency -- it's not
licensed for that. Instead, it's a resource and referral center for parents who
want to adopt. But also for adopted children, who may want counseling or advice
someday. There's even a wall a fame showing dozens of celebrities and
historical figures who were either adoptive parents or adoptees.

The counselors and creators at this new resource center say it'll contain
streamlined information. But most importantly for adopted children it'll be one
more place to turn -- if questions about a complicated process come up in life.
