My daughter is a high risk pregnancy. Her employer is not being supportive of her DR appointments and has told her she can not use any of her vacation or personal days since she is going to be off on maternity leave. Is this right?
There is no law requiring them to allow her to use vacation or personal time to go to doctor's visits during work hours, if that's what you mean.

No. her employer is becoming more "moody" with her appointments. She has requested a personal day for just that, family function out :( of state. That is when she was told she could not take a personal day or vacation since she would be off for maternity leave.'
They are not required by law to approve vacation or personal days. If they want to deny a personal day for a non-medical reason AND they would do the same for anyone who was going to be on an extended leave later, they may legally do so.

Can the employer treat her badly for her dr appointments?
They cannot single her out for adverse treatment BECAUSE she is pregnant. But they are not obligated to be happy about her taking time off during the work day to go to the doctor, either.

If I am understanding this right, FMLA is for the birth of a child not to include job protection prior to due date for dr appointments.? Can she be held accountable for time off for dr appointments.

FMLA has provisions for intermittent leave for medical treatment related to a serious medical condition. If someone is having a high-risk pregnancy and needs frequent checks, they may be able to use intermittent FMLA. But, is these are routine checks for an uneventful pregnancy, they may not qualify for intermittent FMLA.
FMLA also has nothing to do with her taking a day off for a family event.
