I live in North Carolina. After working for a company for 4 years, I was fired. When I questioned them about the reasons and gave my facts of the situation, they told me that someone had said I was overheard giving out confidental information on out clients. I never did!

They said they investigated, but refused to give me anymore information. Please help.

If you have been terminated, and believe the reason was because of your race, religion, gender, nationality, age, or disability, you may file a complaint with either the EEOC or FEHA. In some instances, you will be required to file a complaint with either or both of these agencies before you can ever file a lawsuit in court.

You may want to contact an attorny, but basically a company can terminate you for any reason as long as it is not discriminatory.
