Emergency custody is granted to the parent when it is determined that the child is in a detrimental environment. Emergency temporary custody is granted when it is determined that the child is in a POTENTIALLY detrimental environment, and custody is granted to another party until a court hearing can be scheduled to determine who should have permanant custody.
