jenn22 05-22-2006, 11:26 PM :( my store manger has been sexual harrsing three girls at my work what do i do to not let him no who turns him in cbg 05-23-2006, 06:45 AM If you are asking for a guaranteed, 100% foolproof way that he can never find out who filed the report, there isn't one. But no one is going to go out of their way to tell him, either. jenn22 05-24-2006, 09:40 PM Thanks for that answer. there is a investgtion going on starting today. My DM seems like he believes me and the other female that has came foward, but i`m not sure, if he is just acting that way. What do you think? He told me that I done the right thing by coming foward with the information, and the HR Manger seemed really nice, but isn`t it just their job? This jerk really needs to be put in his place and out of our work area. I don`t think I would be able to work under him again due to the past because I feel like he will be worse maybe not in a sexual way but will make my job harder. This really sucks. This man has a wife and a kid on the way he really needs to think about his family, but I guess jerks like him don`t think that way. He , my boss that is saying these comments, told me one time that he is going to do as many of me as he can. I think that is just sick. I told the DM and the HR manger that he has touched me in two places that he shouldn`t have and that the comments are on a daily bases. Do you think I have a good case? and there was one other female that did come foward, but I know there is more. ElleMD 05-24-2006, 10:25 PM How would we know what they think? You can guess better than we can as you know them. On the surface it appears you have a case, but no one can guarantee what the investigation will reveal. We only have part of the story and only fro mone side. If yo ufeel you have been harased and your employer has not handled it you can file with the EEOC. jenn22 05-26-2006, 10:02 PM Well the jerk has been fired and now the crap will not die down at the store. oh yeah thanks for the input. Now the man is driving up and down the road in from of the store and by the bank that is right beside us that we bank with. This is just too crazy for me. I wish it would all just go away. In a way I feel like I wish I would have just queit and not have said anything about this but then I think of the other girls. I feel as if I am losing both ways. Should I go talk to a lawyer? or what cbg 05-27-2006, 10:56 AM I think you'd be wasting your time with a lawyer at this point. For one thing, you CANNOT sue in sexual harassment cases unless you have a right to sue letter from the EEOC. Even if you did have one, your employer has already fired him. What more can they do? The don't have the right to stop him from driving up and down a public street. mitousmom 05-27-2006, 10:14 PM How often is your former manager driving up and down the street? It could be that he has a legitimate purpose for being on the street. However, if his actions are out of the ordinary, you might want to alert the DM. The DM might need to take steps to ensure that the guy doesn't cause "trouble" or at least be on alert for any possibilities. Your employer has met its obligation with regards to the sexual harassment, so talking with a lawyer would not be of any benefit. |
