I want to start this with advise to all who are dating to check the sex offender registery before dating anyone!!

Was hoping you might could give us some advice or some where to go for help. Do you know of other cases like this? This can't be the only case to go before a Judge.

How many people go to sex offender registery before going on a date? Not many but they should!! My daughter has learned this lesson the hard way.

my daughter has a 5 year old ... her & boyfriend (father of her child) split up after 8 years together

my daughter started dating a man who later she found out he was a sex offender

shortly after she broke it off with the sex offender my daughter found out she was going to have a baby & the sex offender is the father. My daughter has been told by many that she could have an abortion & that would solve part of her problem. Kill one child in hopes she might get the other child back? If the tables were turned would she be told to kill the 5 year old to protect the the unborn child? It is not the childrens fault!!

the ex had her child taken from her because he lied & said the sex offender was living in her home. she was no longer dating the man but he got an exparte & they took the child & she had supervised visits till they went to court where the ex dropped the exparte ... the judge gave the ex temporary custody.

she has court date friday & i don't trust her lawyer... he wants her to sign papers letting ex have the child

her lawyer tells her that she is facing not ever seeing her child again. How can this be? I'm i over reacting to all this? No one believes anything she says & tells her she needs proof yet he has no proof of anything he has said & they believe everything he says.

there are Mothers that do drugs, drink, abuse & neglect their children & the courts send them to get help & they get the children back. My daughter doesn't do any of these things.

My daughter is a VERY good Mother... she provides a very nice home for the child, she isn't on any kind of public assistance, has a extremely good work record, she has always been the one who provided shelter for this child.. she bought & paid off a used trailer then took it & sold it & paid down on a 3 bedroom house with a huge yard...she dresses & feeds the child well.

She knows she made a mistake & realizes the danger she put her child in. How does she make the Judge see that she will do better & will do her best to protect the child. They send other Mothers for help to teach them how to care for their children. Can she ask the judge to postpone his ruling till she can go thru classes or whatever to teach her how to protect her child. The ex is going for full custody & she will have 2 hours supervised visits a week.

If you have any advice please email me.

First, there are hateful people every where. That is a horrible suggestion to make to a woman expecting a baby, no matter WHAT the circumstances.

Now, how long after she found out that the boyfriend was a registered sex offender did she break it off? If she found out and ended it immediately, that is to her credit. If she knew, but continued the relationship, in spite of the knowledge, that is not a good thing. Regardless, even if the ex gets custody, if he is nowhere around, it is highly unlikely that she would be limited to 2 supervised visits. Now, if she is still seeing this man, that will really not help her at all.

On a different note, I'm just wondering what your daughter is planning to do in regards to visitation with the new baby and the father? What are his restrictions as far as being around children?
