I adopted a boy from Guatemala last year and someone gave me a CD
called Liberacion - Sounds of San Lucas. It is a Christian CD with
beautiful music and 600 children from Guatemala singing in the
background. Even if you aren't Christian, I'm sure you will love the
music. The musicians are very talented.
I play it for my 20 month old son, and he sings (sort of) and claps
along. It is all in Spanish, but the lyrics are written in Spanish and
English.
I listen to it often, and am very glad someone introduced me to it. I
thought someone here would enjoy it too. I am not affiliated with the
artists, etc. I ordered it through the funkyside site, and I received
the CD 3 days later with standard shipping!
Here is a link to the site, you can listen to some tracks there.

Introducing Liberación, the benefit CD from and for San Lucas Tolimán,
Guatemala. This CD features the voices of 600 Guatemalan children, led
in song by five notable musicians from both the United States and
Guatemala, singing Latin American songs of devotion, justice and
peace. 100% of the proceeds from the sales of this disc will directly
benefit the children, school, church & community of San Lucas Tolimán,
Guatemala.
Liberación presents 20 beautiful songs, accompanied by a 28 page
full-color booklet, which includes the Spanish lyrics and their
English translations, as well as many vivid photos of the children,
community and landscape of San Lucas.
The music will transport you to the warm, fertile land of Guatemala,
with its vibrant colors and rich Mayan traditions. With each song, you
will hear and feel the joy and hope in the children's voices, as they
welcome you into their village, their culture and their hearts.
Liberación is a work of love, which is open for all to share.
Your purchase will directly help the people of San Lucas Tolimán,
Guatemala.
